Sharing
Camp participants are urged to share their specialties at a “show & tell” at 8:00 p.m. on Wednesday and in mini – workshops held after 8:00p.m. On Thursday and Friday evenings.

GPCAA
Items created and donated by instructors and participants will be offered for sale in our gallery during the GPCAA Workshop. Proceeds from these sales will benefit the workshop.

Membership
Those not attending this year’s workshop must have their $10.00 membership paid by July 31, 2009 to remain on the mailing list for the newsletter and the 2010 brochure.

We are offering a $25.00 discount to a full-time participant that brings a full-time participant who has not attended the GPCAA workshop in the last five years.
These fees do not include lab fees on the cost of materials provided by the instructor. Such cost is determined by the instructor and are charged at the time of instruction. Most of the fees will be included in your supply list sent out when you pre-register.

· Lots of ideas and enthusiasm
· Plenty of warm, comfortable clothes
· A sleeping bag or bedding and a pillow (for dorm or semi-private)
· A swim suit for the pool and hot tub and shoes for the gym
· Personal toiletries (towel, washcloth, alarm clock, flashlight)

THE GREAT PLAINS CREATIVE ARTS ASSOCIATION WILL HOLD ITS 59TH. ANNUAL WORKSHOP AT CAMP COMECA – COZAD, NE
APRIL 15 – 18 2009

To find Camp Comeca take Highway 21 south of Cozad. Watch for the Camp Comeca sign 4 miles south of I-80, turn right (west), continue west for 4 miles and turn left (south) at the second Camp sign. Follow the winding road up to the campground.

The 2009 Workshop is …
· For anyone interested in arts, crafts or fun.
· A challenging workshop for amateurs and professionals alike.
· The four-day program is an open lab experience where the amount of time spent on any creative experience is determined by the individual. This format allows participants to go home with the instruction they feel will be the most beneficial and enjoyable to themselves.

Please Join Us
The GPCAA workshop provides an excellent opportunity to sharpen old skills, learn new ones, and to work with people sharing your creative enthusiasm. Instruction begins daily at 8:30 a.m. and ends at 8:00p.m. (except on Saturday).
Lodging available Tuesday, April 14th. After 5:00p.m. Camp will begin with breakfast on Wednesday morning at 8:00a.m. and ends at 5:00 p.m. on Saturday with clean-up to follow.

Scholarships
The GPCAA Scholarship Fund provides a scholarship to the annual workshop. Individuals who teach arts and crafts may send a letter of application with a letter of recommendation from an official of the group with whom you work. Applications should be submitted to the scholarship chairperson by March 10, 2009

Dream Catcher Scholarship

The purpose of the Dreamcatcher Scholarship is to give fulltime High School or full-time Collage students an opportunity to advance their education in the Arts and Crafts by allowing them to participate in the GPCAA workshop.
To apply for this scholarship send your name, address and name of your School with a recommendation from a teacher or official from a group that you work with in this field and a short paragraph why you would like to receive this scholarship.
Applications must be submitted to the chairperson by March 10, 2009
